LG Nano Cell Vs Samsung UHD: Which is a Better TV?

LG Nano Cell Vs Samsung UHD: Introduction

Technology has its own fast pace. It is changing every day, giving us new and more options when it comes to electronic gadgets. Today there is a vast range of televisions available in the market. Sometimes one feels lost as to which one to buy as everyone is not so aware of the technical details. You would agree that the technical details and specifications are the most important part when buying any electronic product, looks come second. One would prefer a TV which would function smoothly instead of a TV set which looks fantastic but requires fixing up often. The two television sets being discussed today are the LG Nano Cell and Samsung UHD. Both the Companies LG and Samsung are among the best companies in the whole world when it comes to electronic gadgets.

What is LG Nano Technology?

This is the biggest question- what exactly is nano cell technology? Firstly, the word nano signifies something very very small. In layman terms, the Nano Cell technology of LG is a version of its LG’s  IPS-Nano, where IPS stands for ‘in-plane switching’. In LG’s Nano Cell technology this technology related to liquid crystal coupled with an unknown nano-material is used to improve the display. Its size is around 1nm. This technology provides better angular viewing and Wide Color Gamut.

What is Samsung UHD?

UHD or rather SUHD is Samsung’s Ultra High Definition technology. It was introduced after the 4K UHD. Samsung offers a television experience which is the future of the 4K UHD technology. It promises deeper contrasts, brighter pictures, better clarity and the innovative design of the television set. Samsung UHD uses quantum dots to present a better viewing experience.

Advantages Of Nano Cell Technology

Nano Cell Technology is a new innovation in this field. It has a major effect on the quality of viewing. The advantages of this technology on TV are:

•    The Nano Cell technology works wonders for the display.

•    LG is at the top when it comes to this technology owing to the IPS.IPS technology gives an advantage of better angular viewing.

•    This technology also prevents the color from being distorted. All this is due to the IPS technology which holds the LC crystals in the correct place and the even diffraction of color to enable angular viewing. Due to this, the viewer enjoys an excellent display of the screen irrespective of his sitting position.

•    Wide Color Gamut (WCG) improves the reproduction of color on the screen. The colors are enhanced and look bright. The color on the screen looks like as if in front of you, seen through naked eyes and not on a screen.

•     It enhances viewing by making the color richer, clearer and precise.

•    Technically speaking the Wide Color Gamut gives a real-life view of colors by using a light absorbing material, blocking the color in the spectra between the red and green color filters. Now the blocked color in the spectra is passed through a filter. This technology of making the wavelength of the required colors through the correct filters to the right degree gives us the beautiful perfect colors we see on screen.

Disadvantages Of Nano Cell Technology

•    Some experts believe that the claim by LG  that Nano Technology is due to a nanoparticle 1nm in size is not completely true. According to them, this technology is due to a molecular dye of probably the same size.

•     Some even advocate the use of narrow band emitters instead of selective absorbers when it comes to Wide Color Gamut. Though these techniques help to bring the cost of production down, it may not be the best option.

Advantages of Samsung UHD

Samsung Ultra High Definition TV uses 4k technology. It offers better picture quality and complies with the futuristic 4K UHD standard.

•    This technology takes great care of details. Everything on screen is absolutely clear. It is believed that nothing remains hidden in a UHD TV, each hair of the person on screen is clearly visible.

•    It offers a greater depth of images. In other words, you are able to view farther and deeper into the visual on the screen.

•    The colors look more accurate and real, thanks to the many pixels. It gives the feel of almost a 3D when it comes to the real like the clarity of colors.

•    The experience of the Samsung UHD gives a feel as if you are watching a cinema in a theatre. This means you get the experience of a big screen as it covers the extent of your vision.

•    It has a higher dynamic range and enhances dark and bright images.

Disadvantages of  Samsung UHD

•    What if you do not have enough space for a big TV? If you want to buy a comparatively small TV set, you will not be able to enjoy the full advantage of UHD. Though you would still feel the difference its best to opt for a big TV Set.

•    To enjoy UHD you also need a proper network. If you have issues network issues, you will not get the desired clarity.
